Public Debate Brussels: Young and (un)Employed


The final event of Debate changing Europe took place on December 3 in Brussels. Ten youth ambassadors, selected from the participants in the Common European Event, gathered to practice their advocacy and lobbying skills once more. The youth ambassadors from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal and Sweden met with representatives of the European Union to discuss their experiences and insights on youth employment in the countries they are from and in the EU in general. 
 
The youth ambassadors had given training sessions and gathered experiences and information from other young people in their home countrieson the topic. They participated in workshops on the morning of the third to learn how to better present this information in clear statements to European policymakers. They then debated about the European Youth Guarantee and other Youth Initiative plans with EU representatives. Read the full report or check out the pictures and check out the video below.
